November Quilt Meeting

Laura was so generous to open her home to us this month, and Tina provided the food for a nice lunch together while we chatted, shared and discussed some business.

Next month on Dec 9 at 11:30 Sue will be hosting our Christmas meeting where we will have a potluck and a gift exchange.  January we will be having a quilt trunk show from a guest speaker at Wendy's.  In March we will meet at Quilt in a Day for an all day retreat where we will work on a Humanitarian project.

Pat is back, and shared this fun wool runner she whipped up.

Amy shared this quilt that she quilted on a long arm during a class she took.

LuAnn showed this fun wonky log cabin quilt.

Gloria showed her finished quilt, made for a granddaughter.  She was very happy with the work of the longarm quilter that she had quilt it for her.

After lunch Barbara shared her expertise with us on hand quilting.  She brought some examples of her work.  She enjoys hand quilting on panels.

A a whole cloth quilt she helped quilt as a girl.

Some gifts this Christmas:

Some examples of panels:

Yes! This double wedding ring quilt is a panel!

Then she showed us how to prepare a quilt to be hand quilted by attaching it to a frame.

And we had the opportunity to try it for ourselves!  Barbara makes it look easy!

Thank you Barbara for sharing your talent with us!
