San Diego Quilt Show

Several of our extraordinary members entered quilts in the San Diego Quilt Show, held September 13-15, 2012 in the San Diego Convention Center.  For those of you who were able to attend the show, you know it was better than ever this year, with more entries and vendors than in previous years.

This beautiful Americana quilt is by Lisa Molitor, member emeritus.

And here's Christine's Americana quilt....ask her how much fun she had calculating (and recalculating) all of the measurements for this gorgeous quilt. 

 Pat's Americana quilt features an amazing (and torturous according to this writer, but Pat probably loved doing it....she loves applique) applique border

Monetta's Round Robin quilt is stunning....an inspiration to all of us for our upcoming medallion quilts...

Here is Sherry's Americana quilt.....I love the home squares around the center medallion (hmmm.....I don't think those were part of the exchange, unless Pat took mine......)

And here is Sherry, posing with the SDQS judges, who picked her Round Robin quilt to receive the President's Choice Award!

What a wonderful tribute to Sherry and everyone who participated in the Round Robin....with special kudos to Sherry's mother, who meticulously hand-quilted it....
